A very big thank you to Bob Badzmierowski, a former classmate of mine and an old friend of Jim's for his more than generous donation of $500 on Cory's behalf to Cory's Crusaders, Inc. I am thankful everyday for the good, kind and caring people in this world that inspire to help us help others. The impact we can make together is far greater than what any of us could ever do on our own.

Thank you for helping us help others
Today we assisted another family from Boston Children's Hospital / Dana Farber & Jimmy Fund Clinic. We paid a couple of medical bills as well a balance due on their rent. Like many other families they have searched to find a potential cure for their child and sometimes this means relocating and leaving family & friends behind. This as you can imagine can be very emotional and overwhelming not to mention the financial impact it has on a family. We would like to thank all of our supporters because it is with your help that we are able to help others. Show your support this September by going gold raising & raising awareness for Childhood Cancer

Thank you Grumpy's Restaurant in Bellingham
A special thank you to Brian Lahousse and Brooke from Grumpy's Restaurant & Pub for hosting our fundraiser on August 15th and presenting us with a $1,500 check. They donated 10% of the night's proceeds to our organization, they also had a special drink of the night that was served in our Cory's Crusaders Never Give Up water bottle & 100% of the proceeds from the sale of that drink was donated. Our event raised another $1,000 at our donation / raffle/ product table. It was a huge success raising $2,500. Thank you to all who joined us to Celebrate Cory's forever 18th birthday, it was standing room only for most of the night with people packed in shoulder to shoulder. There were tables of Cory's friends from school, teachers, lots and lots of aunts, uncles & cousins. Me and Jim's friends from school and their families. Our Cory's Crusaders followers as well as Grumpy's patrons that had no idea it was gong to be such a crazy busy night. We can't thank you all enough for your support. The impact we can make together is far greater than what any of us could ever do on our own. Thank you for helping us help others. I will be posting pictures from the night soon so check back in.
A special Thank You
A special thank you to Evan's Crew for giving Cory's Crusaders a shout out during the Pan Mass Challenge this weekend. Evan's Crew was originally a facebook page created to support Aimee & Timothy Mandeville's son Evan who was also diagnosed with DIPG. Evan battled courageously but lost his fight just one year after his diagnosis in Nov of 2012, just 3 months after Cory. Aimee & Timothy Mandeville (Evan's Crew) has continued on, raising much needed awareness and funds for DIPG Research at Dana Farber in Boston, so far they have already raised over $60,000. The impact we can make together is far greater than what any of us could ever do on our own.
Won't you please help!
The Quilter Magazine did an article on a young man named Malcom who is only 15 years of age and trying to spread much needed awareness about childhood cancers. 1 - 320 children will be diagnosed with cancer under the age of 21. 7 children will die today from cancer. Please take a moment to read this article. At the time this article was written, Cory's picture was sitting on a desk waiting to be sewn onto the quilt (3rd page), it has since been sewn on and is now part of the display. Make Some Noise / The National Angel Quilt is trying hard to get a mall in the Boston area to let them display this quilt and bring much needed awareness to childhood cancers. They have a tentative date of Dec 6th, 7th and 8th and have reached out to the Burlington Mall but received a no. They have attempted 4 times at the Northshore Mall but have not heard back as of yet and they still have not heard back from Copley. Won't you please help us make this happen! Click the link below to read the article. Cory's picture is located on the top right corner. http://www.thequiltermag.com/features/161/nationalangelquilt.shtml
Thank you for helping us help others.
Today we mailed out 2 more financial assistance checks. They were to help two different families with their August rent payments. We hope to make the day in the life of a child and their family battling brain cancer just a little bit easier. It is because of the generosity of all of you "our supporters" that we are able to pay it forward and help other families with children battling brain tumors and we can't thank you all enough. The impact we can make together is far greater than what any of us could ever do on our own.

Thank you for helping us help others!
It is with great pride that we with the support of all of you were able to send out our first 2 financial assistance checks today. We are working with the resource specialists at Boston Children's Hospital & The Jimmy Fund Clinic to get funds directly to those most in need. This month we were able to pay July's rent for a single Mom with a 10th month old and another single Mom with a 10 year child both battling brain tumors. We also met with the pediatric oncology social worker at Hasbro Children's Hospital today, our hopes are to financial assist families there as well. The impact we can make together is far greater than what we could ever do on our own. Thank you for helping us help others!
