Winter Gala at The Pines Restaurant

Our Winter Gala which was held at The Pines Restaurant in N. Smithfield on Feb. 21, 2015 was a huge success with just  over 100 people attending despite the snow storm.  We were able to raise $4,000 after expenses. It was such a great night. The band Blame it On Bob donating their time and talent providing a fun night of dancing.  We would like to Thank the Pines Restaurant, their staff and all of you who braved the weather to come out and support us and our mission to help children battling brain cancer. We would also like to thank everyone that provided a raffle item for our raffle table.  We had so many beautiful raffle baskets and gifts.   You can view pictures from the night by clicking on the following link  http://coryscrusaders.org/photo-gallery/nggallery/all/winter-gala-2015

Where does the money go?

Image-5This year we wanted to do something special for the holidays. Having gone through the holidays while Cory was in treatment we know first hand how difficult it can be.
We decided to reach out to the resource coordinators we work with at the Jimmy Fund Clinic. We asked each of them to provide us with families that would benefit from a little help with the purchase of presents for their children.
They quickly got back to us with a list of 5 families and we were able to help them with the purchase of $2,500 worth of gifts for their families. We also helped with the purchase of another $650 for two of our families that we were assisting with other needs.
This month has become our biggest month to date for giving. We were able to help 2 families with some of their monthly expenses totaling $2,063.We were able to Make another $5,000 donation to the Evan T. Mandeville DIPG Research Fund at Dana Farber. Along with the holiday gifts this gives us a monthly total of $10,213
None of this would be possible without the generosity and support of all of you. Thank you for helping us help others. Together we can make a difference in the life of a child battling brain cancer.

Our Christmas Tree Jamboree at Attleboro Farms was once again a success raising $700 despite the rain. Thank you to Kris & Deb Kieon owners of the Farm and all of our volunteers, especially Jared who was such a great Santa.

🙂 There is still time to make your tax deductible donation before years end … please consider making your tax deductible gift today 🙂

Helping Hands!

Thomas Denomme the Coach of the North Smithfield High School Boys Varsity Soccer Team organized a fundraiser in which they raffled off a yard clean up.  They raised $430 which was donated to Cory’s Crusaders and presented to me and Jim on the day of their yard clean up. What a great bunch of boys.  We can’t thank them all enough for their support.
